Ken Charman - Managing Director

Ken is responsible for growing Quartus into a market leader, delivering enterprise grade compliance and governance services and applications to major companies. He has grown successful UK and international operations for Pillar Corp (acquired by Hyperion Software), Frango (acquired by Cognos) and SRC Software (acquired by Business Objects). He has direct line management experience of all the key functions in an enterprise software and services organisation including product development, sales, business development and professional services. Ken spent his early career at Ford and 3M and moved into the IT sector in 1987 after attending the London Business School.

 

Rob Todd - Project Director

Rob has over 20 years business and consulting experience. Originally qualifying as a Chartered Management Accountant, he held senior Finance Roles in BT, BAT Industries, Compaq Computers and Warner Music. After receiving his MBA from Cranfield University in 1998, moved into consultancy working for E&Y. At E&Y he worked on major IT and Finance related projects, for organisations including BP, BNFL and British American Tobacco, all with an international dimension. Rob was a founding partner in Adventus Consulting where he has delivered high profile consulting services to clients including CMS Cameron McKenna, Norton Rose, The RAC, The Crown Estate and Unilever. Rob has a thorough knowledge of the management of control processes and the technical accounting requirements of Sarbanes Oxley.

 

Phil Toohey - Project Director

Phil Toohey (COO) Phil is an FCCA. He spent 13 years with Ernst & Young from 1988 to 2001 both in the UK and overseas, as part of both the audit and consulting practices. He worked on a number of large and complex ERP and Management Information projects in the run up to Y2K. He was a founding partner in Adventus Consulting which specialised in technology enabled change projects. In this role he managed high profile projects - including SOX project management - at Xansa, LloydsTSB, Norton Rose, CMS Cameron McKenna and Unilever. Phil has a thorough knowledge of the management of control processes and the technical accounting requirements of Sarbanes Oxley and is experienced in SOX optimisation and running selection and implementation projects for SOX management tools.

 

Trudy Reynolds - Marketing Director

Trudy started her career in consumer marketing where she was a brand manager at Kimberley Clark and then at SKB. She then moved into the IT sector as European marketing manager for Lotus Development Corporation when it was opening its European distribution operation selling Lotus 1-2-3, Symphony, Manuscript and Freelance. From Lotus she joined BMC when it opened its European operations. Trudy then became a founder director of Debut Computer Services where she was instrumental in building an image that led to national contracts for PC training from large UK organisations including Glaxo, Hewlett Packard, Xerox and 3M. Debut was acquired by Global Training after winning a contract to supply Windows and Office training to staff in Customs & Excise, Inland Revenue and National Insurance. Trudy’s role at Quartus is to build an image that reflects the companies focus on measurable delivery and quality of service.
